When an Owner decides to take on a $253M project… it’s kind of a big deal. To complicate matters, the Bee Ridge WRF project involved a consent decree requiring the owner complete the project by a set date or face fines from FDEP, and state funding needed to be secured to ensure finance of the project. The cherry on top of this complicated project, is that the WRF expansion involves a new MBR facility, a technology new to County Operations staff, so operations and start-up were equally challenging feats.

WITH HIGH DOLLAR VALUES AT STAKE AND PROJECT RISKS AT EVERY CORNER, HOW CAN WE ENSURE OUR POTENTIAL CLIENT THAT WE CAN ACCOMPLISH THEIR PROJECT GOALS WITHIN THEIR TIGHT SCHEDULE? THE ANSWER IS SIMPLE...

SHOW THEM THE MONEY!

Success factors

One of the greatest success factors to our Sarasota County Bee Ridge WRF proposal was a set of graphics the Garney team prepared in partnership with our outside consultant Preswerx. The Operations team worked closely with Preswerx to build renderings that not only summarized construction activities and key milestones by quarter, but that showed the client exactly how their site would change over the next couple years to actualize their goal. Because the renderings were modeled according to the overall CPM schedule, the Owner was able to see for themselves how they could achieve successful construction of their project.

Seeing is believing

The county saw the full potential of our team to meet their project challenges and risks with well-thought out solutions. In this case, showing the client exactly when and how their money would be used proved to be a benefit that ultimately won the job!
