A Unique Approach to Quickly Navigate Topics in PowerPoint

Breaking into a new market isn’t easy but coming prepared with our best foot forward and the right tools can help. Garney recently interviewed with Truckee Meadows Water Authority (TMWA), and the team faced various obstacles to overcome—including the need for our interview team to think on their feet and be prepared for all scenarios during a 60-minute Q&A. Having limited knowledge of the potential questions and topics going into interview prep, our team implemented a simple way to navigate PowerPoint, which allowed the interviewees quick access to pre-defined hot buttons.
Innovate by Capitalizing on Technology
portfolio
Garney recently pursued a WRF Rehabilitation and Expansion Progressive Design-Build opportunity involving design and construction upgrades to an existing facility, maintenance of plant operations, and a plan to meet current and future permit requirements. During the pursuit lifecycle, Garney and the Design Engineer developed a proposal and interview that outlined a comprehensive plan that addressed the project's main challenge by enforcing a framework of reliability, resiliency, and adaptability.
Show Me The Money!

When an Owner decides to take on a $140M project... it’s kind of a big deal. To complicate matters, the Bee Ridge WRF project involved a consent decree requiring the owner complete the project by a set date or face fines from FDEP, and state funding needed to be secured to ensure finance of the project. The cherry on top of this complicated project, is that the WRF expansion involves a new MBR facility, a technology new to County Operations staff, so operations and start-up were equally challenging feats.
Elevating a client experience
portfolio
This project is the backbone of the Pure Water Soquel Program. When a client decides to move forward with a project of this size through a busy, tourist-heavy area, innovative ideas are essential to meeting the fast-track schedule while mitigating major risks, managing cost, and minimizing community impacts. Comprised of three pipelines, totaling over 14 miles of pipeline from the Santa Cruz WWTF, to various injection wells, this project is no small feat. That’s why our team spent so much time upfront in the pursuit phase thinking about the logistics and phasing of construction, showcasing to the client that our expertise was unmatched to design and build their project.
TAILORING PROPOSAL MESSAGING TO THE CLIENT
portfolio
The WATER2025 project consisted of the construction of a new drinking water treatment facility in replacement of their aging water treatment facility. Our team paid close attention to the client's priorities during meetings prior to the RFP landing and we kept that same mentality once the RFP advertised. We sought out what was most important to the client and explored our relationships with other firms who were also in touch with the client to ensure each client voice was going to be heard and that we had covered all of our bases. We heard the client loud and clear, they wanted the “A-Team."
